What is WinEEM4s JCB Service Tool?

WinEEM4s JCB Service Tool Introduction

1.1. Purpose

This document is the troubleshoot information for the AGCO POWER EEM4 Electronic Engine Management system. The provided fault descriptions include information on the possible causes for the fault, on the influence on the engine operation and instructions to resolve the problem.

1.2. Scope

The system reports detected faults by fault codes. These fault codes can be read over the CAN bus from the EEM4 controller using a WinEEM Service Tool. The fault codes may also be transmitted over the CAN bus to a vehicle’s instrument panel. Alternatively, the fault codes can be shown using blink codes on a diagnostic lamp.

When a fault code is known, the enclosed documentation can be used to analyze the reason for the fault and to find a solution to the problem. Additional equipment may be needed to inspect the system components and Their operation (e.g. multimeter).

The measured oil pressure is below the alarm limit. The low oil pressure signal may be caused by the following reasons:

The engine oil level is too low.

The oil quality is poor.

The oil filter is clogged.

The oil grade is not correct.

The oil is too hot.

The oil is diluted by fuel.

The oil pressure control valve is not operating correctly.

The oil pump has excessive wearing.

The oil pressure sensor wiring is defective.

The oil pressure sensor is defective.

Reaction in EEM

The FC is stored and the oil pressure the warning lamp is activated. The engine will stop after 30 seconds. The CAN message indicates that a shutdown is pending.

Solution

Find the cause for the low oil pressure indication. Check and repair the possible mechanical problems according to the service instructions:

Check the oil level and the condition of the oil.

Check the oil filter.

Check the mechanical condition of the engine.

To check the electrical defects, check the oil pressure sensor, the sensor wiring and the controller input: First save the error log and then erase it. Restart the ECU after erasing the error log. If the fault occurs again during the next driving cycle, check the following paths:

Check the oil pressure sensor wiring, the connectors and the contact surfaces of the connector pins (possible oxidation).

Check the operation with another oil pressure sensor to see if The oil pressure sensor is defective.

How to Change Speed Limit with PLD File Editor for John Deere Service Advisor EDL V2?

We have two version software v4.2 or V5.2 for John Deere Service Advisor EDL V2:

Notice: If you want to do 3038E truck, then need to use V5.2 software (Hardisk Version).

With John Deere PLD File Encryptor/Decryptor you can:

-Decrypt PayLoad (PLD) file to txt/ini format

-Modify PLD file expiration

-Modify PLD factory options such as speed limit (for example change 40 km/h to 50 km/h)

you can change OPTION=3 to OPTION=4 or any other you need.

After you change it, sometimes you still need to lift the speed manually through the display (depending on the tractor model)

If you reprogrammed all of them, some settings might have went to default so you might get up to 5 fault codes that you need to configure with SA.

I have a question about trying to up the power of a 6330 to a 6430. If I compare the engine pld of both tractor they are identical (just the info in the bottom is different) So I don’t know how it could up the power if all the code is the same??

For notebooks running Windows 7/8.1, we can provide the previous version of the John Deere Service Advisor software (4.2)
John Deere no longer supports the Service Advisor v4.2. The last DATA update has been released in June 2016.
But due to lower system requirements (smaller amount of RAM and HDD space), old Service Advisor may be useful, as it supports all the JD models with up to 2016 release year and works great.
